Career Soft is most known for their Langrisser series.

Growlanser itself has a cult serie status in the more circles of RPG gaming.
So this title is far from a newcomer even if you have never even heard the name before. You should have though if you are least bit more in-depth gamer to look further than the mass marketed Final Fantasy games for example. *

One notable trivia about Warsong.
That looks awful lot like Advance Wars/Yggdra Union type battling except it was done about 10+ years before.

Growlanser VI's english release was cancelled i don't know lol. 
Atlus didn't stop releasing games for PS2 though and now that i think closer there wasn't any real reason not to release GL6. They released many other more niche titles after GL5. *

Atlus also had the original GL remade and released it in spring 2009 for PSP. That has not been on the list of games to be released in english either. I guess the priority for GL games isn't very high. *
