ABR is badass because it:
1) allows more accurate rate/size targeting (1MB limit here)
2) it's superior to CBR in low bitrates
2b) Because it's like a VBR for low-rate encodes *

Target/Maximum file size is 1 048 575 bytes = 1 023.99902 kilobytes
In the encode tests CBR goes either over or way under that target because you cannot freely choose bitrates, only selected values like 24, 32, 40 and nothing between those when ABR can be any value. *

Disregard that, CBR 24 has only 8000KHz sample rate which is half than the 32 and ABR 30 etc. (16000KHz)
Yep. Any test file that has to be forced that low sounds like a muf*led barrel. *

VBR V9 is used when possible for shorter songs. To keep the quality not too much apart from the ABRs, only V9 will be used. Not V8 or higher. *
